Jamaica is not a traditional soccer power. Known more for track stars and one legendary bobsled team, the Jamaicans don't strike the same fear as Brazil, Germany or Spain when they step onto a pitch.
But that hasn't stopped them from playing like a powerhouse, running ahead to a two-goal lead over the United States in the first half of the 2015 Gold Cup semifinal.

Jamaica scored its first goal in the 31st minute, when Darren Mattocks placed a perfect header from just outside the goal area out of Brad Guzan's reach.
At that point, the concern level was still relatively moderate. But five minutes later, Jamaica added a second tally when Giles Barnes struck a perfect free kick.
There's a lot of soccer to be played, but the USMNT will face an uphill battle from here.
